the hypebeast market was a result of chrome producing cheaper more accessible product as a way to open up their consumer base

which is what every designer brand does, that is why diffusion lines exist—most designers are unable to work on their actual passion projects and releases without that revenue from consumers

i understand what you mean though, people infected the brand, but with fashion becoming a trend in the past year every designer brand is affected, chrome never leaned into the market in the way you’re describing it
