One would reasonably assume you listen to modern day mumble autotune pop/rap music, and that resonates with you, probably largely due to exposure (pushed by large record labels and mainstream 'culture').
I largely listen to Opera, Gregorian or EE hymns, Spanish guitar and Classical (solos and ensembles), and it is largely Europeans (and Asians) excelling here. It is rare that there are world leading representations from Africans in these fields of endeavor, historically or contemporaneously (certainly, not in the majority).
