If you want to understand the meaning of life in the most logical way and putting away any emotions, yes, nihilism is the logical answer. Our lives have the same meaning as the lives of people who died 2000 years ago and nobody remembers. We will be forgotten and nothing we do is even relevant, since our time in here is like a second compared to the universe existence.
With that said, there's a reason most nihilist people still follow the average life script and don't just commit suicide, and that's because of our nature. Our nature forces us to search for pleasure and happiness. We don't want to live a life thinking that nothing matters. That's also the reason many blackpilled people eventually become redpilled or bluepilled, it's just against our nature to accept a total defeat and give up on life.
So even if you think that nihilism is the correct answer because it is very logical, it will eventually destroy your life. Absurdism or Existentialism are very similar but with a much more optimistic view. They basically say that life has no inherent meaning, and that's a reason for YOU to create it's meaning.
I'm not implying that you can be delusional and life is great for everyone. Lookism and the blackpill are very much real, but to a certain extent. You cannot think that only "Chad" gets to experience happiness, that's just wrong. So you should use this knowledge to improve your quality of life, but don't live in agony because you'll never be as rich, as handsome, and as relevant as somebody else.
Don't obsess over an ideology thinking that you must believe it totally and never question it, just to not get called out by somebody else as some "fraud". You only live this life once, don't sabotage your only chance in it.
TLDR: Our instincts won't let us fully give up and be happy at the same time. That's the reason many people who are deep down any realistic or pessimistic ideology tend to escape from it eventually. Our brains need to feel there's a purpose and hope left, even if it means to "cope".
