No clue if I should get braces or not

I have mildly crooked teeth is it worth it to save up money to buy braces or do you think it's not that important for looks? Would it make a difference? And since it's only mild I don't think I'd need teeth extractions that'd recess my jaw or something.
I'm also 20 years old so puberty is long gone and it wouldn't affect development.
