no date to homecoming

My schools homecoming is coming up soon and I have no date many people I know have dates and will be attending and going to after parties but ofc I currently will not be doing anything like that even tho I wish I could. I feel I am good looking enough I’ve done some improvement lost lots of weight and fat yet my biggest problem is just talking I’m extremely antisocial when it comes to girls I can barely hold a conversation and feel I get no ioi’s when I do talk with them so I never try and do any flirting let alone ask them to dancesI just feel so behind now that my class is now upper class men they are all staring to go to these thing and start going to parties or small gatherings that involve people from our grade yet I never get invited to those thing I always thought as a kid high school would be awesome like in the movies but as I got older and older even in middle school was around the time the reality set it that I would have have the teen years I wish I would have.

Trust me it’s not worth it to go with an ltb to homecoming just go alone with your friends and enjoy it. Speaking from experience the one time I went alone was the best time.

I was thinking that would be a good strat. My freshmen and sophomore year many upperclassmen did this with girls in my grade. Just the asking part is the worst any tips on gaining that confidence to ask?

contact as many people in your school as possible and pay them to go with you to hoco/find someone for you

You gain confidence by doing it and not by sitting on your ass thinking about how to do it. The doing is the training.

I think it’s all about the outcomes, you have to remember you’re in high school and that this event is honestly a meaningful one because you have so much time ahead of you. Whatever they do say, whether it be yes or no, it doesn’t really matter. If you end up having no date to prom and don’t go it really does not matter as much as you think it does. I’m in college, so when I go up and talk to some girls at a bar I just remember that. It doesn’t matter if they say no because there’s always the next time. You just can’t let a rejection get to you, just because you get rejected doesn’t mean a yes isn’t right around the corner.
