no dryness from tret

when i first started using tret i didnt get dry skin until maybe the 3 week mark

You probably aren't using enough of it, don't just use a pea size do a little more.
I also do a facial cleanser before putting on the tret and then use moistruizer after.

thats exactly what i do
when i use more than a pea size amount, some residue gets left over and it looks like i didnt rub it in fully

Use 0.05%

Nothing tbh if you can tolerate higher concentration go for it ( gradually).
You don’t necessarily need dryness for it to work.
It just side effect that some get some don’t.
Completely normal.
