I have a class III bite that’s compensated by my bottom teeth tilting backwards and inwards.
I had my first jaw surgery consultation today and they said that they only wanna move my maxilla 5-6+ mm forwards and widen it, not touch the mandible or chin. Stand the teeth up with decompensatory braces and then move the maxilla forwards to meet it.
I was originally thinking bimax with CCW for the maximum aesthetic gain, but they said I don’t need it. I also don’t need any teeth pulled except for one wisdom tooth, already had one pulled a few years ago. Does that mean my mandible isn’t recessed? Or are they just blue pilling me? I have a good chin but my mandible looks weak at certain angles, and this is hard to tell if it’s the inward arches or actually deficient mandibular mass.
Anyone else who was class III and then had surgery wanna DM or talk on Discord?
