No improvement with tazarotene

Ive been using tazarotene for 4 weeks for acne and haven’t seen noticeable improvement yet. When I previously used tretinoin, I saw improvement within a few weeks, but it caused significant skin sensitivity and eye irritation and redness, even when buffered with moisturizer. So i switched to tazarotene hoping for better longterm tolerability, but I’m unsure whether 4 weeks is too early to judge efficacy, or if I should reconsider tretinoin or another approach?

all i gotta say is people were right tazarotene fucking mogs tretinoin. my skin is resilient but this shit would get blasted from tret and can barely use it. so you you literally get benefits very fcn slow. where as Tazarotene doesn’t irritate me whatsoever I can apply it 2x a day and even under my eye with strongest % of 0.1%, Tret would make my skin peel like crazy and make me look retarded and dehydrated. then you litteraly have to stop using actives and sometimes even cleaner at all cuz ur skin is compromised even moisturizing burns. it works faster because it binds more to rar b and y the receptors for anti aging acne skin cell turn over, and less rar a which is dog shit and linked to inflammatory responses which tret has more. I wasted all my years using this bullshit ass tret ‍♂ffs… keep using Taz its god send

lmao ngl i literally just started 2 days ago so technically I can’t say it’s working already but even then i do see my skin looks slightly better but taz is taz it’s promising so far and no irritation so happy with it. js gotta keep using it dawg

Very good much less harsh then tretinoin can use it almost daily and definitely improving skin quality
