I had been on sertraline 50mg for about a year due to depression and anxiety, had also dropped out of school around 9 months ago due to depression and not being able to cope with the increasing workload. Since then have pretty much just been void of physical contact. Around a week ago stopped medication cold turkey due to persistent side effects. Constant zombie feeling, wasn't necessarily happy or sad, rarely laughed or enjoyed anything, basically just didn't even feel human, also noticed a trend of low libido. Basically just felt like a drone taking mind-numbing pills. Since coming off, have noticed a return to normal libido and can actually laugh at stuff now, essentially i actually felt like myself again, however, as a result of no longer being on meds, depressive thoughts returning. I honestly don't know whether to be on meds or not. I heard that sertraline can help lower inhib which is good considering im nd and struggle with pretty much any social situation where i have to talk to people, but wasn't sure if it was worth the double edged sword of not feeling like myself and being pretty much empty inside. Any advice appreciated or if anyone else is going through/has gone through a similar situation. Just don't know what to do, each option has it pros and cons. (im 18 btw idek if thats relevant but just some info as background)
