In 2 of the last 4 years no one has remembered my birthday. Not even immediate family. Last year my mum sent me a 20 second voice message wishing me happy birthday, but the year before I heard nothing from anyone.
I've never had a birthday party before. I've never had birthday cake. The last time I got a birthday present I was 14 and I can't remember when someone other than my mother or brother remembered.
Is this normal? Are birthdays just not a big deal for most men? Or is what I have experienced not the norm?
