working on a larger fully comprehensive thread of craniofacial development, but people here dont seem to understand that there is a synchondrose behind your maxilla which plays not a sole, but significiant role in the forward skull development of your face, closes at the end of puberty like normal growth plates. It grows via endochronal ossification.

People here dont seem to understand that they need to acquire knowledge related to intramembranous ossification to better understand what they must to to achieve more of what is termed "bonemass" rather than increasing the rate of bone deposition, which can in fact be contradictory to your goals.

When extreme levels of surface remodelling of bone is achieved in adulthood (the chemical cause of such can in fact seal the remaining patent sutures), it results in faces that more look like this due

IA growth at the suture is what is recquired for increased "bonemass" which is what people actually want. Periosteal apposition is only useful for some specific areas like brow ridge, but in a limited capacity.

the face can still grow forward after the synchondrose is annihilated through bone remodelling i believe but doesnt appear ugly as the growth is controlled, localized.
