That’s only true if you have nothing to offer but your technical skills. Consultants at McKinsey, investment bankers, biglaw lawyers, guys in venture capital or at hedge funds etc with finance degrees all make bank but you need pedigree + good soft skills for these roles which the average CS student simply lackssrs
