To all the fat people here thinking a gym membership will help, no it won't.

The Method (I lost 50 pounds and retained 85% of my muscle mass)

Calorie Deficit (roughly 1000 calories off your calorie maintenance)

Protein (Eats lots of protein, this is the most important step)

Strength Training (Do Push Ups, Sit Ups, Lift dumb bells, increase the volume slightly each week)

10,000 Steps a day

That's all. Then when you loose the weight, then you can start going to the gym.
 
Theres nothing wrong with going to the gym while losing weight. Its ideal to start building as much muscle as possible early on, so you’ll have a better physique once you’re lean. Lifting weights won’t contribute much directly to weight loss, but it will make a difference in how you look after youve lost the weight. No reason to start off with push ups and sit ups, when exercises at the gym will be objectively better.

Noobie gains doesn’t work like that.

If someone was training shit for the first year and on the 2nd year they took shit seriously that brought new and better stimulus to the muscle they would arguably make more muscle in that 2nd year than the first.

And lifting weights burns calories, if your fat go to a gym and pin a glp. Not sure why you wouldn’t want someone going to a gym.
