Most friends are utter shit and not worth it. Nothing wrong with that, it's good to have some shallow/simple friends too. Having some company to go to festivals/parties/vacations with is great. Just don't expect more from simple friendships like that.

You have way too high expectations on simple shallow friends tbh. Personally I don't even really have to like the friend to go on a holiday with him or go to parties with. Just tolerating is fine, I just don't expect a lot.
