“Do whatever you want bro, you will be forgotten by 2100, how many of your great grandfathers do you remember anyway?” is a quote that doesn’t get enough hate.
Imagine R. Kelly, Epstein, Diddy, Bill Clinton all before getting their names truly ruined saying ts. The only thing that comes to my mind when I look up my childhood idols like Stephen Hawking, Gates, Clinton and stuff is “uhmm damn the island files” and my mind basically ignores all the well done achievements.
You don’t remember your grandad’s dad and above because there were no cameras then or proper records if it’s the third world. That’s about it. Anyone born 1980 and above is now pictured since childhood. Especially 2000 and above there’s tons of vids, pics, what school you went, what physique you had at 22, what sport you played in college, what girl you dated, what kind of friends you had and everything else is well documented. It wouldn’t be like you’ll erase all data once you get a son unless you are some paranoid spy retard. This isn’t the olden times and your tomb might just have your name on it but everything else you did until you reached the soil is pretty much well documented in this generation.
TLDR: “Do whatever you want bro you won’t be remembered” is such a cope giving you false hope to do things leaping the “action thinking of consequences” part. If you do something great enough, either negatively or positively, you’ll die knowing this is what your entire life is being remembered for. This ain’t the old times where a random grapist from world was 1 is now forgotten.
