ive gotten braces myself and had one tooth removed in each area normal braces not damon and i also have a brother that looks exactly like me the only difference is that he has a projected maxilla and good mandible growth while i have the opposite other than that we are twins i had braces when i was younger around 12-13 i had them for about a year and a half i dont think its the braces themselves that did it but the removal of teeth when putting them on to make space that recessed the maxilla and mandible so in my experience yes they do

I’m js getting bi dimensional braces to widen the flared tooth tilting and elastics

Self-ligating (damon) braces just mog in every way possible. Easier to deal with, less frequent check ins, doesn’t make you recessed, etc. I wouldn’t take the risk with normal braces considering most of the time they do restrict growth.

i think you'd be fine im not sure what those are ive currently stopped wearing my nightly retainers in hopes of maybe getting some of my forward growth back but i also have these Permanent retainers on the first 5 top and bottom teeth which are invisible to anyone that isn't look from the back of my mouth so idk so far my teeth were hurting like a bitch the first 4 days but its been about a week and they dont hurt anymore i also feel more natural if that makes sense(i kind of sidetracked to myself srry lol)

My ortho straight up lied told me that traditional braces are the only option they have 🤣. Luckily my dentist is a family friend and made him have to give me an option for invisalign.

‏yeah but I mean
I asked about Damon she said we don’t wanna “over expand”
Wouldn’t this mean I’m gonna pay more for expansion + braces
Wouldn’t that be on their side ?
She said bi dimensional braces to widen palate dentally then elastics

She said mines not traditional it’s bi dimensional
Which mean each bracket has different types of tightness

I don’t know much about those but I’m fairly certain its mostly a marketing trick. Its like a variant of traditional braces rather than an alternative. But don’t take my word for this honestly.

yea she sounds alright, is she bad?
Nah I mean
She Lwk is not bad bro
She didn’t mention extraction at all to straighten teeth
Instead offered bi dimensional braces which make the upper teeth more U shaped than V shaped
Mines V shaped cuz it’s tilting not cuz there’s no space according to her
And my wisdom teeth will get extracted when I’m older cuz it’s growing wrong

So I’m 16 tanner stage 3 and I got 4 premolars removed (2 top 2 bottom) roughly 1.5 years ago, then got traditional braces. I wanted a palate expander, but the orthodontist said my jaw was to narrow. Thinking back, I wish I got a second opinion, plus since I’m a late bloomer, my jaw might widen naturally. Due to this, I thunk my forward growth is horrible now, and I’m just so cooked. I get my braces of this summer hopefully. Is my observation correct?

Extracting deffo damaged at least to an extent
How ru tanner 3 at 16 I’m tanner 4 at 14:ogre:
Your gonn grow tall till 18-19 lucky :ogre:
But usually you are in C3 neck level of maturity
Expect 4mm of mandible growth maybe 5-6 cuz ur late bloomer
Other than that idk what can u do
Seek another ortho and discuss your issues
