since truecels cant get much from society, why not leave it?
the ideal lifestyle to me seems to be living in the mountains, maybe bringing a laptop with a hard drive summarizing all of human research (wikipedia) entertainment (download some movie rips), build a house, get solar panels or smth for charging, get some stuff to protect you incase of animals
by nonattached, i mean you should be able to drop anything you have at any time without consequence, you have no forced attachments that you'll be punished for dropping
the problem is, this lifestyle is hated by a lot of people
a singular person moving out, no longer benefitting it, even if you pay back all your debts to society, life is zero sum, even if you create a net positive to society, what is the purpose of your life anymore since you no longer create more positives
u r economically, socially and politically more useful when you are attached
there is a lot of fearmongering against this life legally and also danger too, required land permits for example (i mean technically you could try to argue squatters rights, but it's you against a government legal case, hopeless),
i should clarify, this isn't materialism, or antimaterialism
one is physical attachment (money, property), one is emotional attachment (love, work).
when people see themself in either belief, ultimately they end up thinking in both, becoming even more attached.
this is why an ideology of nonattachment, not just half-doing it, you must be nonattached.
ofc, there are bad nonattached lifestyles too, but the best nonattached lifestyle is much better them the best attached lifestyle.
we are taught why this ideology isn't good in schools usually in like anywhere from 6th-10th grade, the social contract, that we give up some of our rights to our government for protection
but it is an unwritten contract, i don't think it is fair to not be able to say no when you turn 18 or so (imo, you should be able to say no when you become an adult, with a requirement you must pay all your debts back to society for how they benefitted you), it's just assumed when you are born that you'll say yes
generally though, there is no where to go in land, all land is taken so it is a forced agreement, you cannot say no, which part of the original idea was that citizens consent to the agreement, meaning they have free will in it, but in the modern day that assumption has been broken
obviously, there are some upsides (roads, easy access to food and water, entertainment (although u can just download them on a hard drive to ur laptop on the way out)), but there are downsides too, and some would rather drop it all to be unrestricted despite the difficulties and dangers
not all of us have the same assumptions to be held in society, that we are equal for example, times are different now then before and it has definitely benefitted governments more then individuals over time (all land is taken is one example, more technology then originally, in quantity and power)
then why do we have the same expectations
if u are a truecel, u should have a nonattached lifestyle
