If you quantify happiness then all of those things alone are greater than (and especially combined) the happiness you would get from being good looking. say for example you liked writing and became an author, liked gaming and began streaming etc

those are skillsets that are completely independent from something as shallow as your physical appearance

then at some point it stops being “coping” and rather how your life is

the obsession with appearance is real and understandable but i think the equally good alternative would be to turn the other way and do things that actually make you enjoy the life you live

not everyone has that luxury though
