Those who call themselves subhumans are afraid to receive low rating, so they disparage themselves so the raters won't viciously try to destroy any sign of ego, especially during ongoing rating inflation which is caused exactly by this chain.

Those "subhumans" often look better than most of the population, the self-disparagement (self-suggestion) is also used as self-comforting related to half of the population being inferior to them.

On a serious note, you're right they're usually the ones with an ego. There are some actual subhumans on here tho
