Its a pretty cool thought experiment: what would your parents do if you told them you did some sort of drug? Or if you kept reporting to them how you failed x,y,z?

Most peoples parents would resent their kid and give up on them. No advice, very little help if any, maybe even abandonment. Like, the opposite of: helping when it actually matters, and caring when it actually matters. They'd only show you the most care and affection when you're just magically succeeding on your own. But when times get tough: EVEN your own parents would betray you. Thats the brutal truth. No one wants to hear about failure, not even your family. You're not allowed to fail, and if you do, you're thrown away like a product.

Most people today, with 0 input from their parents, grow up learning about life much more similarly to an orphan. Thats why most people are stupid on average. Sometimes I see some guy and I wonder did his parents teach that nigga anything? It can be a serious handicap. But obviously I only see these examples as you go towards the lower classes. Richer families often have better parenting, ofc. It also leads to better/faster maturity, which is why a lot of people are immature today. If someone is immature, they had a shitty family life for sure.
