One of the major coping mechanisms of populists/right-wingers/nationalists is that while normies may be asleep now, once a couple of nations have been fucked up by immigration/civil war the reminder will take notice and finally wake up thus resulting in a massive populist wave. After all, there is a limit to how much apathy people can have, right? I mean surely it's not possible for an entire nation to just get utterly fucked and for nobody to even notice!
...and yet, that is now literally exactly what has happened.
Corona virus is literally just this. Entire nations getting utterly fucked up...and 90% of normies outside of those nations still respond with apathy until the virus kills somebody that THEY know. Even now with people dropping like flies in nations like Italy and Iran literally not a single person in my entire family gives a shit about this except only very half-heartily. They still think this will all be over in 6-8 weeks and that they will know nobody that will die from this. They also mock me for questioning the bullshit propaganda in the news and for reading "conspiracy theories" on the internet.
Many keep panicking about if or not the corona virus will kill them or not, but in that chaos it would appear that everybody has completely missed a massively important blackpill that this whole insanity has discretely dropped on us: Even a major disaster will NOT blackpill normies or make them change their views on anything, as long as that disaster is happening somewhere where they don't live. It doesn't make them take notice. It doesn't make them learn anything. It doesn't blackpill them. It. Changes. Nothing.
The implications for this in the future are massive. Basically this means the single most major cope of the populist right has been effectively destroyed. If normies are too fucking stupid to take notice of a horrendous plague decimating the countries around them then why would they care about the failures of mass immigration or even civil war as long as it isn't yet happening in their backyard?
They will not.
The corona epidemic and the general level of apathy most people display towards it right up until the moment people start dropping dead all around them is a massive giga-blackpill because it proves that LITERALLY NOTHING is actually bad enough to make normies care until they get to personally experience it. Just literally nothing. They are 100% pure braindead fucking drone NPCs that only respond to emotional and visual stimuli. Facts don't register with them, only visual and emotional input does. Unless they can FEEL and SEE the effect of something personally, they will not regard it as real. Period. And NOTHING will ever change that. Ever.
