I mean yes, the medical industry has long been largely controlled and corrupted by financial incentives, so the desire for self-treatment, or interventions that actually offer causal treatment options are understandable.

However, the absolute madness we observe nowadays, with little kids severely overestimating their expertise, widespread misinformation and injecting unregulated, cheap research chemicals into their bodies, without having a clue about their own individual biological profil, is totally absurd.
IMO, it’s merely a symptom of the
pathological state society is in right now.
They do not grasp how complex biology/ biochemistry/ biophysics actually are.
They also don’t realise how extremely individual biology is.
There’s a reason why even highly intelligent people study this subject for decades, and even then it’s an highly dynamic and ever-changing field.
