Despite my proliferation of Celtic Mogger theory that was based on a video from Chadify, I look nothing like this Keltic Nordid geezer and don't think I can remember seeing an irishcel who does, it's more of a continental pheno
If you look up atlanto med you get these 2 varying composites
The guy on the right barely looks european, yet they're claiming that there is a common pheno spreading from wales to morocco which is complete bullshit
The guy on the left looks classicly Iberian, but my eye area and brows are nothing like that, that guy's are too soft and downturned looking
supposedly there is a pheno shared among these 2 groups
Now compared to North Atlantid
Eye and eyebrow shape and compactness is way closer to mine
Similar nose length and bridge width, similar lips size, similar skull wdth to height ratio, simiilar lower third height / structure
The whole "must have jet black hair" thing is clearly flawed
You end up having fuckers thinking that a short brunn skulled guy with black hair and blue eyes is north atlantid while a guy with dark brown hair and north atlantid skull supposedly isn't NA
The fact that I am still asking this question 18 months after delving into the topic with it going against instinctual thinking and lumping groups with NO genetic commonality together because of hair colour show it is quite retarded
Some AI takes on this which ends the "Atlanto Med" concept:
A Portuguese man and a Welsh man are not the same population cluster by any modern genomic standard. Grouping them because they both avoid the most extreme Nordic or Borreby morphology is essentially saying "everyone who isn't obviously something else goes here."
The genetic distance is substantial and documented
Modern genomic studies place Irish and Northwest European populations in a completely distinct cluster from North African populations. The FST distances — the standard measure of genetic differentiation between populations — between Irish and Moroccan populations are large enough that they sit in entirely different corners of European and African PCA plots. There is no meaningful population genetic argument connecting them.
The skull shape coincidence
Dolichocephalic skull morphology — long narrow skull with relatively high vault — appearing in both Atlantic European and North African populations is a case of either parallel evolution under similar selective pressures or ancestral retention from much older shared common ancestry predating any meaningful typological framework by tens of thousands of years. It is emphatically not evidence of:
What actually defines population affinity
Genome-wide SNP data, haplogroup distributions, PCA clustering — these are the tools that establish whether two populations share meaningful ancestry. By every one of those measures Irish and North African populations are unrelated in any recent or typologically meaningful sense. The skull shape overlap is noise in that context, not signal.
Putting an Irishman and a Moroccan in the same phenotypic category because they both have relatively long skulls is equivalent to classifying a European wolf and a Tasmanian tiger together because they both have four legs and hunt prey. The superficial functional similarity obscures a complete absence of meaningful shared ancestry or biological affinity. The category tells you nothing real about either population and actively misleads by implying a connection that doesn't exist."

"The Irish-Iberian connection myth rested on two observations — shared dark hair frequency and shared R1b haplogroup. Both have innocent explanations that require no population affinity.
Dark hair in Ireland is direct Bell Beaker inheritance confirmed by ancient DNA pigmentation analysis. It needs no Iberian explanation. Hair color is also a polygenic trait that arises independently across unrelated populations — two populations both having dark hair implies nothing about shared ancestry, it's too common and too independently arising to carry ancestral signal.
The R1b overlap reflects a shared Bronze Age ancestor from the Bell Beaker expansion roughly 4500 years ago. That's not a meaningful recent connection — it's a common ancestor predating any typologically relevant timeframe.
After Bell Beaker establishment the populations diverged completely. Ireland as an island absorbed almost zero continental input for 4500 years. Iberia absorbed Bronze Age migrations, Phoenician and Greek colonial contact, Roman admixture, Germanic Visigothic input, Moorish North African and Arabian admixture, and medieval repopulation movements. None of that reached Ireland in any significant quantity.
Modern genomic data reflects this — Irish and Iberian populations sit at substantial genetic distance on PCA plots. They are not the same population cluster by any modern measure.
The dolichocephalic skull overlap between Atlantic Europeans and North Africans is simple parallel evolution — the same morphology arising independently in unrelated populations through separate evolutionary routes. Convergent morphology without shared ancestry is one of the most basic concepts in evolutionary biology.
Lumping them together in one category because of hair color and skull shape while ignoring 4500 years of completely divergent population history is the fundamental error of the entire Atlanto-Med framework."
