I think Cruise has been a hair loss sufferer for years. I remember a hair loss forum mentioning that he had a lightly thinning crown - and the post was a decade+ old.

You can't really trust what you see with these Hollywood stars, especially ones that are very looks oriented like Cruise or Pitt.

correct. got dupa (2.5-3 nw density). running on 1.0 mg dut, will be pushing it to 2.5 soon and will hop on ru soon as well. never minoxidil cause of bloat

DUPA is pretty aggressive from what I've heard. Is your donor area also going?

Looks quite aggressive. How old are you?

I'd certainly look into applying a topical anti androgen as well.
Minoxidil might be the best way to get some more density back as well so definitely worth not ruling it out.

If you want more density back, you’ll probably need minoxidil or some other kind of growth stimulant.

Removing androgens can only do so much.

Even a balding guy who was castrated wouldn’t see full hair restoration.

I agree with 99% of what @chadisbeingmade says but disagree that 5AR inhibitors alone will restore density (correct me if I’m mischaracterizing you).

I usually keep my hair down so 90% of people can't tell I'm losing it, that is if we are in an inside setting. Idc too much about the sides and back since gravity takes care of covering those regions when I have medium length hair. It's mostly the top I'm concerned about. Dutasteride apparently causes some hair growth. I definitely saw some thickening when I started finasteride before switching to dutasteride. RU also seems to bring people back a norwood level or two. Plus, I'm microneedling. If I make significant gains, I will def be making a separate hair loss recovery thread

You’re best is 5ARi and RU for optimal results always. No androgens at scalp = greatest chance of unminaturizing. But decreasing androgenic activity at the scalp, with 5ARi alone will still yield results still, sine 5ARi can deal with the main driver (DHT) pretty significantly.

RU is best hair loss drug i’ve used.

Mogs the shit out of Fin and Dut IMO.

Used together is best.

I agree with this but I think you also need a growth stimulant to shift more hairs back into anagen phase.

There’s a reason that post menopausal women (with minimal DHT levels) see hair thinning when their hormonal profile falls off a cliff - because estrogen is the ultimate hair growth stimulant.

Are all your posts muh dutasteride 2.5mg? You don't even take it, and it's a meme

I'm unironically reading into topical Estriol right now, since I just saw it recommended in one of old threads - but I think it would be shit due to inevitable systematic absorption, I would think.

Yes, that's the issue, the best growth stimulants are essentially feminization drugs.
I think the key for fighting pattern hair loss is a combination of DHT blockers and growth stimulants.

Nothing seems to rival minoxidil for men though.

have you looked into dutasteride mesotherapy or cyclosporine-a

oral minoxidil. topical is fine
for some people it's the opposite and for some people it's none and for some people it's both
so I guess it's just how you respond

Isn’t dupa caused by some sort of immunity issue rather than androgens ? I’ve heard that even DUT won’t do anything against dupa

I think so as well, although in agressive cases the sides and back do thin slightly they shouldn’t actually have patches and major density loss, the guy like my self most likely has an immune issue combined with AGA.
