It was 3mm of linear advancement in addition to the advancement provided by the rotation, which was about the anterior nasal spine (you can see on the chart that ANS moves forward 3mm).

u almost got 8mm of linear advancement, not 3mm, thats probably why your nose was fucked after bimax. should have done less or sub spinal lefort

Because the software is inaccurate. It probably treats the soft tissue like it's hard tissue rigidly attached to the bone, so for ever 1mm of bone movement, you get 1mm of soft tissue movement, which isn't actually what happens. Here are my actual lips post surgery:

8mm of advancement at incisor tip, 3mm at ANS. Yes, he should have done subspinal cut. Yes, I probably should have done decompensation. But I'm old and I was in a hurry. I also need a rhino revision anyway.

incisor tip is linear advancement. the ans just falls back, in your case 5mm cuz of the big rotation

No, the ANS was the axis of rotation, so it didn't move from the rotation. There was rotation and then an additional 3mm of advancement on top of the rotation. My surgeon stated this explicitly.

does cansiz only rotate from the ans? didnt even know that u can rotate from different points. looking at raffainis, bells, coceincig plannings, its only from the incisors

im sorry to say but thats not possible, but lets say he just did 3mm linear and rotated at the ans, how would u get 12mm pog when there clearly isnt a genio. 9mm with 8,5 degree ccw? you get about half of that. It would perfectly add up to 12mm tho if u get 8mm of advancement. Idk what he told u but u got way too much on the linear advancement/ nose fucked
