Not being able to tie your shoelaces

Can anybody relate to this? I didn't know how to tie them until I was 12. My parents never taught me because, apparently, I would take too long and " purposely not learn''. It took until my aunty taught me, and she wouldn't let me go until I figured it out. I ended up crying, but I'm so thankful she did it. Is this an ND trait? or just childhood neglect
