No they wouldn't if your friends exist to make fun of you of clear insecurity where they even acctual friends in the beginning ? My friend are all supportive of each other's in serious matters we make money together and have Future plans we never would make fun someone's decision if they don't have a negative effect on others. YOUR LIFE YOU DECIDE !

If it takes longer than usual say there were complications

If they notice you looking better after just tell them your doctor said a sharper jawline can be a sideeffect of the removal
