Have u ever tried talking to a normie when they text someone? Its like their hearing gets completely disabled or smth

I get not being able to text and also talk to someone, you can make a gesture to let the other person know u heard them but u cant talk cus u text

But being completely oblivious to whats happening around u when texting seems unbelievable, yet I've seen it happen too often
