Mr Robot, True Detective S1, maybe some others. Of course any famous show or movie will appeal to NPC midwits but I enjoyed them.

Movies are way better though. Shows take up hours of your life, whereas movies have the same if not more impact on you, despite being 2 hours only. Not to mention there's no way to produce 50 hours of content with the same care and refinement as a movie.
