I am similar to you in this regard, my body starts to get warmer and my brain just shut's down when i am in front of a crowd. I literally can't talk in front of large groups of people without sounding awkward and weird and definitely can't strike up long or even short convo's with women. Although it's mostly due to my pathetic, practically non-existing social skills.

So real. Every time there is a group of people (boys or girls) laughing around me while i'm alone I feel like they are laughing at me.
This also makes me feel like shit because then I think "you're not the center of attention" so I remember I'm probably delusional, but there is still a part of me that's doubting they're in fact laughing at me.
Then my rosacea gets really bad and I worry even more about my looks, never ending cycle

Your problem is that you have too much self awareness and overthinking, because you think those groups of people are superior or more intelligent than you / have something you don't have and are keeping it hidden from you, and you just don't want them to think you're dumb/inferior in case you say something wrong

I had the same problems in my football / football tennis / teams in the office department where I work, where I almost always had to come into relatively contact with groups of new people, and often I had to take the initiative in a certain direction, tell them what to do, ask them things so that there was no silence and keep the conversation going, etc.

The only way I was able to improve things for myself along the way, and earn more of their respect and attention (and seem interesting enough for them to at least see me as an equal) was in 3 steps:

1. To be flawless in hygiene, hairstyle, clothing, accessories, deodorant & perfume, so my entire appearance / what I present should be the peak I can be (this is initially, as time goes by, you can take things easier, after you earn their respect)

2. To be objectively better/smarter than them, or at least to fake that you are if it's not the case. You can do this by the way you speak, the words you choose, the moment you decide to speak, simply being able to read the room very well. If you do this right, they will be impressed / you will gain their respect / you will build an aura around you

3. Trust yourself and be confident in what you know, realize that they don't know everything you know, that they are also dumb sometimes, that they are not perfect, that you don't have to be perfect, but just try not to be the most imperfect, that only then will you stand out in a bad way. If you're in the middle of the hierarchy and make a mistake, no one will care / it will be more easily overlooked

I also highly recommend these 2 videos (and his YouTube channel in general), which can help you a lot in what to say and not say in general in a NT group/context so you don't seem weird / autistic / dumb

I genuinely panic if I have to leave my home.

Been like that since 12, I though it would get better but it didn't.

I'm perma socially awkward for sure due to a teenhood where I didn't develop my social skills in any way.

Which as you say explains why I've been a basement dweller for 5 years with over 35k posts on here. This is my comfort zone. What's outside is uncomfortable and I can't adapt to it.
