What's up boys, like a lot of users I struggle with neurodivergence. In a lot of ways it is helpful. But when it comes to social settings masking it is necessary to fit into social groups. Here are some anecdotes that I did to help take my social skills from pretty fucking terrible, to the point I can hold a conversation with most people without 90 percent of them thinking I am aspie.
Obviously like anything this is pretty much purely genetic. I can practice talking to people everyday and I would still get mugged by someone who was just born with top 1 percentile sociability. But like a lot of genetic traits this can get improved upon to an extent. Here are some things I personally did to improve my social skills.
Fraud normia hobbies
This is the first thing I did, when I got to college I learned that I played football in HS. Just make your larp believe like if ur roided football is a good one. Ik a decent amount about the major sports to carry a conversation about them. Never talk about autistic shit, the best way I can describe it is to think about what a normal dude would talk about and talk about that. What I do is whatever the situation is in I just learn the best answer that is super believable, this definitely takes some practice.
Customer service job.
Probably the best thing you can do. I got it when I was 17 just to afford roids jfl. It ended up being very beneficial to making me less of a spas. You have to talk to people everyday, different kinds of people all the time. Doing this throughout HS helped me learn social cues and helped me understand body language. The best thing was girls. I talked to every girl I saw even if she was subhuman or stacy. This got me better at understanding when girls are trying to flirt with u, when they are just being friendly and when they want u to fuck off. Getting a customer service job young taught me more than school ever did.
Joining a local organization
When I came to college I joined a frat. I was so fucking stressed about accepting my bid due to how NT all the guys are. During pledging I got shit on a little for being an autist but it was mostly hella chill. Finding a local group of guys that you can trust and are loyal is very important for NT maxing. Doing this put me in a ton of situations where I had to talk to people, guys and girls. I think knowing that there's people around you that your chill with makes it so much easier to talk to new people. It doesn't have to be a frat but any organization that can be your male tribe it so important to improve your sociability
Exposure therapy
I started this about a year ago. For an example for rush for my frat I used pregab+ a little baclofen to chill out for a little bit and be less aspie, then I went down to having a few swigs of vodka before I would go talk to new people in the frat, slowly I used less and less low inhib drugs like nicatone, then I got to the point I can talk to new people dead sober. I am a big fan of using low nib drugs to put yourself out there first. But you don't want to rely on them, this method really worked for me.
Obviously the better looking you are the more aspie you can be and still have it be acceptable. But for 99 percent of people acting like a normal fucking person is the best way to approcah social situations. I hope this was informative.
