I noticed a phenomenon where each generation have the fantasy of being the last because of a catastrophic event and they have to save the world type shit for example ppl thought that the industrial revolution would take all the textil workers jobs and leave them nothing then you had nukes back in the cold war everyone thought nuclear war was imminant but nothing happened and i bet you ppl will be saying stuff like that for ai but nothing will happen as usual when you think about it nukes are just a stronger bomb all the apocalypse stuff came from our imagination and even if it happens (it wont) we will all die anyways so why would we worry abt it

To be fair while I do get the doubts behind it because governments lie about everything all the time nuclear fusion is very real, nuclear power plants work and generate immense amounts of power from it.

Maybe we could attribute Nagasaki and Hiroshima to firebombing, but at the very least nuclear tests (like Marshall Islands) were absolutely real due to the sheer volume of witnesses and observed affects. I’d put it among the moon landing/space race conspiracies where it’s not entirely fake/a lie but definitely overblown to manipulate something.

Although nuke count statistics, films, video games, footage depicting controls and schematics are very likely psyops, especially with more plausible scenarios like countries like Israel/Pakistan/India having nukes despite showing zero evidence for it.
