I've seen this a lot, maybe you can argue they have to do the shit jobs but I know sanitation workers who literally have the shit jobs and are still happy smiling people.

My theory is that they are people who crave having power over another person and weren't smart enough to become doctors, CEOs or politicians so they stuck with being a nurse to fulfil their fantasies. Most of them stick to being dicks and trying to show their superiority to the patient, but some obviously go a lot further....

You can see really from their demeanor most the time that they want to be in control. What is one of the most powerful forms of control? Bullying.

Women in the medical field are also notoriously promiscuous. I’d say it draws a lot of feminist, bitchy, masculine women who want to have a successful career that doesn’t require a lot of brains, like you said. I don’t have experience with male nurses, but in my experience with older female nurses, say 40s and up, they’ve been quite kind to me. I could see the younger generations being worse tho.
