Jfl I remember this video I watched from the 50s called “good nutrition for children” or something lile that, trying to teach kids how to eat healthy. They had two groups of rats for an experiment, one that ate pop tarts, or whatever the equivalent was in 1950, and another group that ate less sugar and more healthy foods like nuts and seeds, and then a control group. They checked the rats each day and by the end, half of the rats in the pop tart group had died of malnutrition amd the other half were barely holding on to their life, meanwhile the healthy group was having a bunch of sex with each other
