No, for the vast majority of people who are fat, it's not a choice, it's due to their appetite and their genetics.

A fat person will have a very similar problem as a skinny person, the main difference between the two is that:
-the fat person's genetics make it easier for them to gain weight (fat and muscle) and very difficult for them to lose weight.
-the skinny person's genetics make it easier for them to lose weight (fat and muscle) and very difficult for them to gain weight.

Both categories of people think that it's due to their metabolism (slow or fast), but in reality, most of the time, it's due to their appetite, skinny people have small appetites and fat people have large appetites. Your appetite is defined by your genetics, and the amount of food that you were fed during your childhood.


The greatest advantage that fat people have though is that since they can eat a lot of food easily, they will not suffer recovery issues from lifting weights because they'll always be eating enough, their only problem will be that they may bulk too much or find cutting to be difficult.

Meanwhile, skinny people will have the opposite problem, I know because I fit into that category, having been skinny all my life, I know that I can lose weight without even trying and that I need to try really hard to eat enough every day and track my calories, otherwise I'll lose all my progress and get weaker over time.


So when people shame fat people and tell them that they are lazy and that it's their own fault that they are fat, they are actually wrong to say that. However, both the skinny and the fat person can do something about the issue, it is just so much more difficult than for people who are neither skinny nor fat.

My ADHD is the main reason why I write the way that I do. Sometimes I find it very difficult to find things that make me happy and I feel extremely bored, and that happens even though I have a ton of video games I haven't played and a ton of movies and shows I haven't watched, it's not like I have nothing else to do, but sometimes, I just don't want to do any of these things.

And, because I am stuck in quarantine, I use this site as a temporary alternative to real life social interaction because for me, socializing is really a need, and even though I would much rather do it with real friends instead of strangers on the internet, this is still better than nothing, that is why I am here, I am definitely not here for the information because I already know what I want to do to looksmax.
Also, it's not like I am missing out on the great outdoors because here in Canada, it's always very cold outside and the weather is rarely enjoyable during the winter season.

unironically read every word,what about skinny fat faggots tho?when i could gymaxx i built muscle very fast and lost a very good amount of fat as well even with poor diet but now with corona bullshit i keep eating crazy amounts of calories and i got fat around the waist and in the face,i even have subhuman love handles and belly i must be at 35% body fat tbh

Then you're not skinny fat, you're just fat. If you have muscle, then you're a fat guy with a muscular frame, so you should focus on cutting first until you get a flat stomach, then you can lean bulk.

You seem to have the genetics of a fat person, this is known in somatypes as the endomorph and yes, it is a real thing which is proven by exercise science research and what it means is that when you stop tracking your calories, your body will revert back to its default fat state because of your high appetite. Your appetite will probably never change, so you'll have to constantly track your calories, even when you are not lifting weights.

Also, you should never bulk too much, you should always limit the caloric surplus to 10%, the only ones who should use a 20% caloric surplus are those who aren't gaining weight on 10% (skinny guys like me).

high iq but i dont think im muscular fat,i wish i was but i dont have alot of muscle mass,im skinny/normal everywhere except my belly area and around it(love handles) and obviously face

too high inhib ngl but you gave alot of very useful info already i just need to watch out for calories cause i like to eat alot and go back to the gym and hopefully this time with a good diet i will get even greater results than i already did
