I had a kebab yesterday and added heaps of cayenne pepper (which is dried and ground chili peppers) to it because I like spicy food but I guess it was too much. Woke up after only 4-5 hours of sleep with the worst stomach ache and cramping I've ever had. It still hurts - although not as much - about 10 hours later, despite taking two sodium bicarbonate pills. Was gonna take care of a few things but today was a waste of time since I was unable to do anything.
I used to add excessive amounts of cayenne pepper to my meals on a regular basis a few years ago and thought you can't loose tolerance to capsaicin, also because the burn in my mouth yesterday was barely noticeable, unlike my gut today. Never had stomach issues from chili peppers before. Could also be because I had thiamine hydrochloride with and a few beers after the kebab
