Nice studies, I have read them some time ago.Most genetic studies would suggest that Englishmen are 40-50% Germanic on average (with about 30% of their DNA being Anglo Saxon), 60% or so at a maximum in some eastern coastal areas, and as low as 20% in places such as Devon or Cornwall with the rest of it being Celtic.
Light features were first brought into the Isles by the people of the Bell Beaker culture, who are considered Celts (again, a very broad term), and are responsible for the high frequency of light features in Britain in addition to the Germanics.
It’s also seen, but as you said it depends: some regions are more Anglo-Saxon than others. That’s why regions of old English exists, also where this language is still spoken [ one place, with also an good amount of Anglo-Saxon genetic nature ]
