This is a horrible way to put it but basically as long as you have the bullet they won’t leave since each has the same zero percent chance to leave if they risk getting shot.

This isn’t a real scenario. In a real scenario you wouldn’t be guarding 100 murderers in an open field with a single bullet either.

If one has a 0% chance, they won’t do anything. If they all rush you, one his gonna die. They don’t know which one, so none of them would rush you. It’s more like a numerical logic question than a real world logic question.

You need to convince them and make them fight eachother for the chance of escaping. Basically you are making 99 die because of that chance of escaping mentioned in the question, since they will do anything to escape as proposed, and then you end the last one.

I don't know from where you got the idea that they know he has a bullet in that specific dilemma because it isn't mentioned, therefore it is irrelevant for the scenario.
