I was fairly well experienced and pretty based when I first came over. But I found that it took me much longer to see what any particular woman was about. You really have to take a long time to get to know a woman over here. Get to know all about her family and what her relationship with them is like. You have to take a lot longer than you would in the West, and not just because of a cultural or language barrier. They're just way more adept at hiding their flaws.

Anyways, I met my wife at work. We never dated or anything during that time. We worked together for about a year. I quit the job and started talking to her regularly on WeChat about 8 months later.
