It’s pretty straightforward, my fellow German, more traction inevitably brings in more normie`s, especially those stumbling onto the topic via platforms like TikTok, one of the most braindead platform online. It’s a constant stream of misinformation, and now that same nonsense is transferred into this forum.

The mainstream has never been rational or objective when it comes to emotionally charged topics. These new posts often aren’t about insight or discussion anymore, they’re just about kids chasing meaningless reputation or validation from fellow users.
It’s become rare to see a thread, where user seriously addresses the topic, instead of posting some Gen Z nonsense just to farm reputation from fellow minors.

This is unironically true, on practically any forum.

Older users tend to be outdated on current trends and patterns, which can shift as quickly as every other year. They also tend have biases from the era they grew up in, which they then project onto everything else.

New gen sucks. Less effort. Less attractiveness in a softmax sense. Less masculine. Less drive. More copes. More excuses. Less hope. More cope. Its pretty remarkable how much worse this community became. They even have less attention span = translates to please spoon feed me = less main characters being self made. They won't even become their own heros.


Whats good about the new gen mostly? Age that's it. Nothing else.

I think the biggest difference now is you have a lot of users who are bots repeating things their tiktok algorithm pushed them instead of individuals who would have found this place naturally due to their own life experiences and opinions. The number of under 18 users increased from 17% in 2022 to 52% which reinforces that. It's a younger and more normie generation of users so I guess for people who prefer that its better now, personally I don't prefer that

I agree even though I'm technically new gen that the older org seemed higher quality compared to now. I remember in early 2022 first finding out about looksmaxxing and the forum and such it felt very esoteric compared to now where it's as slop like as tiktok or instagram. Nothing new (this isn't a attack on new people) and almost all good users are inactive and or never use the site anymore.
