Earlier this year, in June, I came to the realization that I was quite overweight. My weight gain over the years was gradual and slow, which prevented me from realizing what a disgusting beast I had become. I am 5'11, 25, and weighed around 185 pounds in June. Pre leanmax photos:
I started my leanmaxxing journey by cutting my calories from 2-3000+ per day to 6-800 per day. My goal was to ensure that my protein and micronutrient requirements had been met. Carbs, sugars, fats be damned. I also did calisthentics a few times a week to prevent muscular degeneration. After a few months of crash dieting, I began to notice changes in my facial appearance.. I was likely around 155-160 pounds in this photograph. Mid leanmax photos:
At this point, I considered stopping my leanmaxxing journey. Comments from friends and family saying that I looked skinny and needed to eat almost convinced me that I had lost too much weight. I wasn't sure exactly what my body fat was. I decided to continue further on.
I continued to cut, eating 1200-1600 calories per day for another 2-3 months, with the cheat days in between. I told myself I would get to single percent body fat or die trying. I didn't really have anything else to live for. The weight just kept coming off. As of the last few days, I weigh somewhere around 145 pounds. This likely represents the loss of 40-50 pounds of fat, or perhaps more considering that I was likely gaining muscle simultaneously. Post leanmax photos:
I look a bit better now and feel much healthier. I'm not a giant roided up muscle freak but the fat loss has been huge for improving my facial appearance. My body fat percent is probably somewhere around 9-11%. Maybe lower.
