Older men can't date younger women because of muh 'power imbalance'

Every time some roastie on Reddit is seething at an older man for dating a younger woman, she uses this argument. Its so fucking stupid. In nearly every relationship between a man and a woman, there is going to be a massive power imbalance that favours the woman. The reason is that the man will always be 100 times more replaceable than the women. The women at any point can leave and immediately have hundreds of other men being willing to be in a relationship with her, whereas 95% of men will never have this opportunity. This makes the man emotionally dependent on her and compels him to be submissive to her. He has to be, or he will be replaced. Not to mention the courts that will always favour the women in divorce cases.

Women have no objection to taking advantage of these power imbalances when it favours themselves though. It's only a problem when men do it. Feminism in a nutshell.

Older women don't really dislike age gaps, they just hate it when it's an older man with a woman in or close to her prime. They would have nothing to say (and may even encourage the relationship) if a 30 year old man dates a 60 year old woman. Especially if the man in question is good looking or wealthy. On the other hand, they seethe if he dates a 20 year old woman. Even though, he's much closer in age to a 20 year old.
