Where is Oman located:
I believe Oman is an underrated gem in the Middle East for the three following reasons:
1 Oman Is Overshadowed By Some Of The Middle East
Saudi Arabia had like 29.7 million international tourists in 2024, which holds impressive ground.
Dubai in the UAE had 18.72 million international tourists in 2024.
But Oman? Oman had only 3.8-3.9 million visitors in 2024 which is way less in comparison.
2 Net-Zero Emissions By 2050 Plan
Oman aims to achieve environmental sustainability and to have net zero emissions by 2050, how great is that. In order to tackle climate change and promote innovation in sustainable energy. Oman also aims to bring public awareness about the importance of net zero targets and environmental sustainability, which is very crucial to help against the decay of this planet.
3 Oman Is Very Peaceful
Oman is approximately among the lowest on the 2023 Global Terroism Index. Oman's neutrality allows it to maintain diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc, due to Oman's role as a mediator, e.g. in Yemen. Oman ranks 3rd in MENA and 42nd globally in Global Peace Index in 2025(score of 1.38), Iceland dominates the list with a score of 1.095 and Russia comes last at a score of 3.441.
