Taking the degenerative society that we currently live in, it is by no means sensational to say that people’s views of each other have deteriorated a lot over the past years.
I’m not religious at all but even I can recognise how much both genders have done in order to destroy the very sense of shared value that our civilisation possesses.
Objectification is no longer only a thing for women—now men are affected too. From my personal experience I can definitely argue that a lot of girls are almost brainwashed into believing that the extremes are normal, just like boys are by the porn industry. It is really terrible when normal people are compared to genetic outliers who are the loudest and the most seen.
In my own interpretation, ”foid” is not a slur but a depiction of the reality around us. It literally comes from the words female and android. The second implies that they are programmed to believe something, just like bots. It really describes girls who objectify men, but also do not really get any play. They are just like guys who watch porn everyday but get no girls whatsoever.
I do not hate women or anybody in particular, but I do believe that the current system is unsustainable as it leads people away from what is true. Both genders see unreal images online and then try to adjust themselves to them, which makes all even more insecure and awkward.
What should be done instead, I think, is reintroduction of people back into the reality. Renewal of the third spaces, promotion of compassion, and overall a change from the ultra-capitalist approach towards dating to a more humanistic one.
