Sleeping, or, the absence of consciousness during hours of sleep, is the true moment of peace in someone’s life. But, the sad part about it is that you don’t appreciate it until you’re awake and outside of the bounds of peace. You only realize the peacefulness of sleep once you are awake because the serenity of the unconscious mind isn’t aware of itself. So basically, the beauty of sleep can only be appreciated in retrospect.
