I’m already past puberty, have really good skin, and pretty solid hair genetics. Both my parents still have full heads of hair. My hair is fine, but I’ve always had a good hairline and even have hairs growing along the corners/edges, so there are no signs of balding at all. That said, I do have really curly hair and it’s fine, so I naturally lose a decent amount of hair on wash days. It’s been like that my whole life, so it’s nothing new. The only difference now is that I just hopped on test. My question is: should I just start dutasteride now as a preventative measure, or wait until there are actual signs of balding before doing anything?
I keep seeing mixed opinions on keeping DHT around versus nuking it early, so I’m looking for a high-IQ answer from people who actually know what they’re talking about.

If baldness doesn't run in your genes then i'd say wait until signs start showing.

DHT has pretty nasty side effects for some, and paired with test sexual side effects become more profound. Take a picture of your hairline now and compare another pic in a few months. Although it is an individual decision - Also get your DHT bloodwork done at a dermatologist clinic, that will tell you whether to take action or not. Godspeed
