Wanting to become the best version of yourself shows that you do in fact care and you do in fact want to live. You do not want to stop living you just want to stop having problems. Life is so good and there is a possibility for you to have a life that is SO GOOD that you cannot imagine having anything less than. Life is precious, do not end it.

SO many people love you, more than you know, and I want you to know this.

You can't actively tell a person with a terrible life that life is precious. Which is why I think the common approach to "comforting" a suicidal person is quite terrible.
