"Although 100 grams of cooked carrot contain about 17,000 IU vitamin A, that's only 852 micrograms of retinol activity equivalents (RAE)."

"RDA: The Recommended Dietary Allowance for adults 19 years and older is 900 mcg RAE for men (equivalent to 3,000 IU) and 700 mcg RAE for women (equivalent to 2,333 IU)."

Is it that simple ?

Eat 1-2 carrots a day, nice.

Also 1 carrot = 7 mg beta-carotene

You need 15 mg/day to get the carotene coloring in 2 months

Even though you absorb more of the beta carotene through cooked carrots it's so much easier eating them raw
do you cook yours?

Carrots are great, but peeling and cooking them sucks. I prefer supplements, although I still eat a few raw carrots every week on top of that.
