So, should you not take dutasteride? No, rather, when it makes sense. Dutasteride can reduce Norwood levels by 1-2 points, while finosteride only stops alopecia. If you have already lost a significant amount of hair, I would recommend taking examestane along with dutasteride (this is the only aromatase blocker that is safe in this case).
