You gotta understand people like Wheat are all trend hoppers. He came out the woodwork to disseminate BP to the masses for profit and clout.

Now that he's established his position in the space is taken for granted but he got his start by being the first person to sell out to a normie audience by regurgitating already established theory as easily digestible semi high quality videos.

No new insights, no real novel value offer, just pure exploitation of the space.

This may sound harsh but this is further validated by the fact that you mention which is that he's a blackpill content creator that has done ZERO LOOKSMAXXING since popping up on the scene.

His goal is not actually doing the thing, it's talking about the thing. So don't be too confused as to why creators like Wheat and Patel's espoused beliefs are so incongruent with their actions. They are vultures looking to make a quick buck. I mean for gods sake Patel makes thumb pulling tutorials.

If you're going to make content I would recommend not associating yourself with these people outside of criticizing them because even in your 10 slideshow videos in the past 2 weeks you've already delivered more value than both of their channels combined.

You're right that their popularity is bizarre, but it's less bizarre when you realize who their audience is. Wheat got his start right as the BP was getting a little traction, he was part of the reason for that traction. His audience is composed of people who were hearing about this stuff for the first time. Many had no real alternatives and for what it's worth Wheat's video editing, British accent, confident tone, ane use of technical terms conveys authority to that naive audience.

He got his start by leeching off FACEandLMS, then face stopped posting videos and wheat took his audience and sold them face ratings and other scam products. His latest grift is opening a patreon and putting all his main videos behind a paywall.

Wheat has been in the community for like 7 years and he hasn’t even dyed his eyebrows, his hair cut is dogshit, he hasn’t even soft maxxed. He’s a smart little ginger rat grifter who’s made huge money off this trend.

The best BP creators were making real theory content with unique observations and many got wiped off YT early days

Rehab almost got wiped too but he managed to pivot quickly enough with the channel rebrand to avoid it

Wheat type content was taken as self evident because the community was smaller back then and small niche communities are usually composed of people who are highly invested in the community

None of these people thought to themselves "you know what would be a great idea? If I take all the stuff everyone already knows and just regurgitate it over and over again." There would have been zero purpose for that

Anyone selling you anything is a fraud. Rehab and FACEandLMS before him are the only honest content creators who never tried to sell a single product or course or face rating bullshit.
